American rapper Snoop Dogg delivered a hilarious, viral commentary during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021) while watching Germany's Isabell Werth compete in Equestrian Dressage with her horse, Bella Rose 2.
In 2021, Snoop Dogg joined comedian Kevin Hart for NBC's commentary of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. NBC provided clips for them to analyze, and one featured equestrian Isabell Werth and her horse. This is where Snoop Dogg's hilarious commentary began.
Here's what the 52-year-old Snoop Dogg said:
“By the way, look at that horse. Oh, the horse crip walking. You see that? That’s sick. This horse is off the chain. I gotta get this motherf***er in a video. Motherf***er was off the chain. I need that! That intro walk was cold. Oh, it's cold.”
Following Dogg’s remark about the horse, Kevin Hart couldn’t contain his laughter. Watch the video here.
Isabell Werth and Bella Rose 2 secured a silver medal in the individual dressage at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with an impressive score of 89.657%. They also contributed to Germany's team gold in the dressage alongside Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Dorothee Schneider.
Fast forward to the Paris Olympics, and the seven-time Olympic champion is back in the saddle, but with a new partner, Wendy. Bella Rose has officially retired.
Snoop Dogg serves as torch bearer ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony
Snoop Dogg served as one of the torch bearers in the Saint-Denis suburb outside Paris during the final leg of the flame’s journey before the commencement of the opening ceremony at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Reporters asked Snoop Dogg about his feelings on the day he carried the Olympic torch. Here's what the American rapper said in response:
“I feel good about it, like, honored that they would even mention me. It's all about peace. So, it makes sense. The holder of the torchbearer is a peace messenger. The one who delivers peace. So, it fits who I am.”
Dogg is currently covering the 2024 Paris Olympics for NBC as a "Special Correspondent."
