Olivia Dunne recently gave a bold reply to one of her fans who tried to express their feelings for the gymnast. The 21-year-old recently attended the LSU football game on Saturday.
Dunne went on a girls' day out in Death Valley to cheer on the LSU football team as they faced the Nicholls State Colonels. The former won their first game of the season, defeating the State Colonels 44-21. The gymnast, who went to cheer for the LSU Tigers, recently shared glimpses of her time spent at the stadium.
She shared a carousel of pictures on her Instagram, where she donned a black-colored single-striped top with a mini skirt and paired them up with tiger-print boots. In the other pictures, she posed with her teammates Alyona Shchennikova and Chase Brock. The post's caption read:
"Can I get a geaux tigers?!"
Under this post, the gymnast received a comment from one of her fans, who wrote a long paragraph expressing his admiration for her. He wrote:
"I find myself constantly hoping you'll notice me. Each day, I look for ways to be close to you, hoping that my presence makes a difference. A glance, a smile, or any small sign from you would mean everything to me, affirming the feelings l’ve kept inside."
He added:
"It can be disheartening when it feels like I go unnoticed. I often wonder if I’m not doing enough, or if there’s something more I could do to stand out. Every encounter we have, no matter how brief, feels like an opportunity to show you a piece of who l am."
On this, the LSU gymnast left a fitting reply, commenting:
"I don't even like myself that much bro."
Dunne recently began her preparations for her final year at LSU after deciding to continue her time at the LSU Tigers.
Olivia Dunne opened up about continuing for a fifth year at LSU
In July, Olivia Dunne shared her decision to rejoin LSU for her fifth and final year.
"This past year, I found a renewed love of the sport. I had trained a lot in the off-season, so I felt really strong and healthy from the start and ready to contribute," said Dunne [via LSU website].
"I really enjoyed the dynamic of the team this year and it all came together well. Winning the national championships was a great team accomplishment, but I feel like I have more to give as an individual competitor."
Talking further about the importance of women's sports, she added:
"I’ve seen how important women’s sports are to the younger generation, and I want to be part of always advocating for those opportunities.”
Olivia Dunne won the national championship in April and along with her teammates, she'd like to defend the crown in the upcoming season
