Olivia Dunne is getting ready to start her journey on LinkedIn ahead of the potential ban in the US for TikTok, the platform where she boasts a massive eight million followers. The LSU gymnast is currently in her fifth and final year with the Lady Tigers and is looking to win a second successive NCAA championship.

Dunne shared a subtle message in one of her TikTok posts on Wednesday and claimed she had received her graduation diploma from LSU just three days before the 'TikTok ban'. The 22-year-old was joyous during the video, and titled it:

"Me when my diploma finally comes 3 days before the tik tok ban."

Reflecting on the potential ban on the social media app in the USA, Dunne said she would move to LinkedIn.

"getting my LinkedIn ready #foryou #tiktokban #riptiktok #graduation," Olivia Dunne captioned the video

The 22-year-old graduated from LSU with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies in December 2024 and has now joined a grad school while continuing her gymnastics career with the Lady Tigers.

Dunne joined the program in 2020 and took benefit of the extra year of COVID-19 eligibility to return for her fifth year. She and LSU kicked off their maiden national title defense on January 3rd against Iowa State with a dominant win before placing second in the annual Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad meet.

"You gotta love it or it could be brutal" - Olivia Dunne on managing social media fame

Speaking in an interview with GQ Magazine, Olivia Dunne claimed that while social media was a tough place to survive and excel at, it was also a rewarding experience. The gymnast said she started her social media journey for fun and after realizing its potential, she now looks at the platform from an analytical lens.

"I started social media just because it was fun and it developed into a brand. Now, I've really grown to love looking at the analytics-how things perform and when things don't perform, seeing what went wrong. I just find joy in that."
"I think you gotta love it if you're doing it, or else it could be kind of brutal. Social media in general is a tough place sometimes, but it's been really rewarding and fun to keep growing my own personal brand," Dunne said.

Dunne's rise to fame started on TikTok, and even if the platform gets banned in the USA, it likely won't impact the gymnast much as she has massively grown her personal brand over the years. She has over five million followers on Instagram as well.
