Olivia Dunne has excelled as a gymnast and social media star. She gained a large following by sharing updates from her day-to-day life with fans. The LSU student-athlete recently reacted to a post about four fellow Tigers, including Sha'Carri Richardson and Angel Reese, achieving a major honor in the past two years.

Dunne first rose to fame around 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, she's gone on to amass a following of over 10 million across various social media platforms. The youngster has also been successful in monetizing her fame, and in May 2023, she was the highest-valued women's college athlete with an estimated NIL valuation of $3.3 million.

For her accomplishments, Dunne was named to the Forbes ‘Top Creator’ list in 2023 and 2024, as well as the ‘30 Under 30’ list in 2024. Alongside her, various other LSU student-athletes have achieved similar feats in recent years. In 2023, pole vaulter and basketball star Mondo Duplantis and Flau’Jae Johnson made the 30 Under 30 list, while sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson and basketball player Angel Reese were named to the 30 Under 30 list in 2024.

The official LSU Sports account on Instagram shared a post celebrating their student-athletes, and Olivia Dunne reposted the same to her Instagram story and wrote,

After she was named a Top Creator by Forbes, Olivia Dunne sat down with the brand to discuss her life as a content creator. Speaking of how she chose this profession, the gymnast recalled her childhood love for social media, saying

“I always loved social media, even when I was a little kid. I love to grow my accounts, I love to see what my audience likes and how theyengage with my content. It really started taking off when it was quarantined and I started posting more on TikTok. (I) actually started posting on TiKTok when it was kind of cringy and it ended up paying off because I just knew it was a platform that that would end up taking off.”

Dunne described her brand as ‘a little bit of everything’ and explained that her hectic life and schedule appealed to her audience.

“I think it's ‘The Balancing Act’ of my life. I think it's because I'm a student-athlete, I go to class, I go to the gym and I also do work. On top of that I do social media.”

In 2024, Olivia Dunne and the LSU Tigers stormed to the NCAA team championship. The gymnast is now returning to the U8 for one final season.
