Olivia Dunne reminisced about her first Sports Illustrated (SI) photoshoot on the second anniversary of the occasion. Dunne collaborated with SI for the first time in January 2023 as she traveled to Puerto Rico for her appearance in the swimsuit issue.

The pictures from the collaboration were featured in the 2023 May edition of SI’s swimsuit issue. She then appeared in the 2024 issue, with her photos taken in Porto and northern Portugal. This was also the 23-year-old’s second sprint feature for the magazine.

With the 2024-2025 gymnastics season underway, Olivia Dunne reminisced about her first photo shoot for SI as the occasion marked its second anniversary. She took the moment to her Instagram stories and shared them with her followers by posting two photos.

In one of the photos, Dunne shared her thoughts as she got emotional, expressing it with a face holding back tears emoji.

“2 years ago today at my first @si_swimsuit shoot 🥹,” she wrote.

In another photo, Anthony Cristiano, the top hairstylist, is seen helping her prepare for the shoot.

After being featured in SI's swimsuit issue for the first time, Dunne shared her thoughts on receiving the opportunity from Sports Illustrated in an interview with People.com in April 2023. She said:

“When I first got the call, I honestly was in disbelief. That's the best word to describe it. I got off the phone, I was screaming and jumping around, and I called my mom immediately, and I think I cried.”

Dunne is in her fifth and final year at Louisiana State University (LSU) and is gearing up for one last dance with the LSU Tigers.

While in her senior year, Olivia Dunne was asked about the aspect she would not miss about being a gymnast upon leaving the LSU Tigers. Ahead of becoming an NCAA champion, she reflected on how she wouldn’t miss the conditioning part, as she doesn’t like lifting weights, during an interview with ESPN.

“Probably the conditioning. I don't like lifting weights really, but it's a love-hate relationship, and I've learned to kind of love it this year because this is the best physical shape I've been in since I've been in college. So it's a love-hate relationship, but I think that's something I probably won't miss.” she mentioned [2:50 onwards].

During the interview, she also mentioned being featured on a billboard in New York’s Times Square as Nautica’s brand ambassador, describing the moment as "unreal."
