In August later that year, Skenes confirmed their relationship in an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, revealing that they’d met through his best friend who happened to be dating Dunne's roommate Elena Marenas. Since going public, the couple share regular updates of their life together with fans.
Olivia Dunne reveals her goals for 2025
In 2024, Olivia Dunne was crowned national champion in gymnastics alongside the LSU Tigers, as the team stormed to the title for the first time in program history. Now, the American has graduated from the Louisiana State University, but will continue to compete for them in the upcoming season for her fifth and final year with the team.
As the new season approaches, Dunne has made her priorities for the year. Taking to Instagram, she shared a handful of photos of herself competition in an LSU leotard, and captioned them,
“New year 🔜 same goal.”
In an interview with LSU Sports last year, Dunne has also revealed she had more to give as an individual competitor in the 2025 season, saying,
“This past year I found a renewed love of the sport. I had trained a lot in the off season, so I felt really strong and healthy from the start and ready to contribute. I really enjoyed the dynamic of the team this year and it all came together well. Winning the national championships was a great team accomplishment, but I feel like I have more to give as an individual competitor.”
Olivia Dunne and the LSU Tigers' first meet of 2025 is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 3. The team will take on Iowa State at the Pete Maravich Centre.
