For Olivia Dunne and the LSU Tigers, 2024 was an impressive year as the team stormed to the NCAA championships, making program history. Throughout the year, Dunne competed in nine meets, recording a career high of 9.900 on floor and a season best of 9.875 on the bar.

In July 2024, the gymnast announced that she would be returning to LSU for a fifth and final year with the Tigers, telling lsusports.net,

“This past year I found a renewed love of the sport. I had trained a lot in the off season, so I felt really strong and healthy from the start and ready to contribute. I really enjoyed the dynamic of the team this year and it all came together well. Winning the national championships was a great team accomplishment, but I feel like I have more to give as an individual competitor.”

On January 3, 2025, Dunne made her season debut as a fifth year senior, competing in LSU'S meet against Iowa State. The 22-year-old competed on the beam and the floor, scoring a 9.825 and a 9.875 respectively. Overall, the Tigers had an incredible opening night, winning the meet 197.300-194.100 in front of 12,324 fans in the Pete Maravich Assembly Centre.

Dunne and co. will next be in action on January 11, when they compete in the second session of the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad in Oklahoma.
