American fencer Miles Chamley-Watson expresses his feelings after spending time with Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens. Chamley-Watson had also caught up with the American gymnast at the 2024 Paris Olympics where they competed together for the US national team.
Several months later Chamley-Watson and Biles reunited together for a dinner tight during the gymnast and her husband Owens' recent visit to Los Angeles. Chamley-Watson took to his Instagram handle to share a glimpse of their time at the dinner night where they can be seen enjoying their night with several types of foods and drinks.
He wrote in the caption:

Miles Chamley-Watson, similar to Biles has represented in three Olympics. He was part of the US foil fencing team that won the bronze medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Other members of his team included Alexander Massialas, Gerek Meinhardt, and Race Imboden. Notably, he also won the individual event at the World Fencing Championships in 2013.
Simone Biles shares her thoughts after receiving a major award from Sports Illustrated
Simone Biles expressed her thoughts after receiving the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Award 2024.
Biles stated that she had never considered bagging major medals and awards during her initial years in the gymnastics circuit. She also mentioned that her only aim then was to get a college scholarship. She said (via the Sports Illustrated YouTube channel):
"When I started doing gymnastics when I was six I never imagined winning medals and everything and I have been fortunate enough to do until this point. I just wanted to have fun and hopefully get a college scholarship. I've kind of surpassed all of that which is super exciting." [1:17 onwards]
Biles also shared some advice for children and added:
"To all the little ones out there, stay engaged and stay active because lessons learned through individual or team sports is something you can carry on through the rest of your lives."
Simone Biles had an impressive season in 2024 where she bagged three gold and a silver medal at the quadrennial Games. Notably, she won the all-around event in four tournaments she competed in 2024, Core Hydration Classic, US nationals, Olympic trials, and the Paris Olympics.
