Gabby Thomas received a surprise gift hamper from model and social media personality Kendall Jenner after her successful Paris Olympic campaign. Thomas showed off the bottles of 818 Tequila, the premium spirit brand founded and owned by Jenner. Thomas walked home from the 2024 Games with three gold medals in the 200m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay events.
Not long after, Gabby Thomas received a surprise gift from another iconic media personality, Kendall Jenner, who was spotted supporting her nation at the Paris Olympics in a Team USA ensemble. Jenner sent an 818 Tequila gift hamper and a little note of appreciation in honor of her success. In an Instagram story, the latter posted a photo of the premium tequila bottles and a note reading:
"Gabby, congratulations on all of your success in Paris. We hope you enjoy our award-winning Eight Reserve. We raise our glass to you! Best, Kendall and The 818 team."
Thomas expressed delight and wrote:
"Omg what a fun surprise! Thank you @kendalljenner and @drink818"
Gabby Thomas has been the highlight of media interviews on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" and "CBS Morning Show" since her Olympic victory.
In a recent TikTok video, she compiled some behind-the-scene clips of her current life situation, juggling talk shows. She paired the montage with Charly Jordon's "No Sleep" playing in the background.
"Loving every minute of it," her caption read.
Gabby Thomas credited her mother for signing her up for track and field
Since winning her historic triple, the 27-year-old appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show in conversation with the legendary drag queen and social media personality, RuPaul.
Thomas and her mother, Jennifer Randall, appeared on the show to celebrate the former's success and delve into how her career took shape. The 27-year-old shared that she was inclined towards soccer and softball, but her mother signed her up for track and field.
"Track and field was not my first love…but my mom had another idea. And I don’t know if you know black households but you don’t really get to talk back," said Thomas.
She added:
"I want to thank you so much for forcing me to do track and field…you knew what you were doing.”
To this, Randall humorously replied:
"Always listen to your mama!"
Gabby Thomas will next participate in Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian-hosted race, Athlos, set to take place on September 26, 2024.
