Reigning 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles, his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield, the 4x400m relay champion Vernon Norwood, and several others shared their heartfelt wishes to the British track running star Matthew Hudson-Smith who recently got married.
Hudson-Smith tied the knot with his partner Antonia Tyson following his third Olympic appearance in Paris where he won two medals, the first of his track and field career. The 29-year-old secured a silver in the 400m event with a time of 43.44 seconds, narrowly missing the gold to America's Quincy Hall by just 0.04 seconds. Following that, he helped Great Britain secure a bronze in the 4x400m relay where the team finished third with a time of 2:55.83 seconds.
Hudson-Smith and Antonia Tyson had confirmed their wedding date of September 29 through a website specially set up to announce their wedding. Hudson-Smith recently shared a series of pictures from his wedding on Instagram which was attended by his counterparts like Noah Lyles and Vernon Norwood. Lyles' girlfriend Junelle Bromfield and brother Josephus Lyles were also at the event alongside Dina Asher-Smith and Adam Gemili, among other guests.
The British sprinter wrote in the caption:
"Mr and Mrs x."
The couple got congratulatory messages from Lyles, Bromfield, and others who extended their best wishes to the newlyweds.
"A truly Amazing day! I couldn’t have been happier for ya’ll," Lyles wrote.

Noah Lyles shared an insider secret about his former roommate Matthew Hudson-Smith, stating that the latter mentioned he would call it a day on his track-running career after winning a medal.
Lyles said (via Independent):
"It’s funny, I don’t know if he’s told anybody yet, but I remember when he was like, ‘As soon as I’ve won a medal I’m retiring. He won a medal two years ago, and he’s still going, so I’m hoping that he gets knighted and I get to see him get knighted. Sir Matthew Hudson-Smith."
Hudson-Smith shared a room with Lyles and his brother after relocating to Florida in 2017.
