Noah Lyles has been spending quality time with his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield following the Paris Olympics 2024. The couple recently went on a short trip to Orlando Universal Resort, where the Jamaican sprinter flaunted the Olympic champion opening the car door for her.
Lyles and Bromfield met in 2017 when the Jamaican quarter-miler reached out to the American sprinter via DMs. The dating didn't work out initially between the two and they decided to be friends instead. They got back together after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics before Lyles proposed to her following the 2022 World Championships.
The couple went public the same year and have regularly been spotted together, both on and off the track. Bromfield shifted to Florida, USA after the 2020 Olympics and now trains with Lyles. While on their short trip to Orlando Universal Studios, Bromfield claimed was her 'happy place'. Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) handle, Bromfield shared glimpses of their trip and wrote,
"I could go to @UniversalORL everyday. Definitely my happy place"
In an Instagram story, Junelle Bromfield shared a clip of Noah Lyles opening the door of his G-Wagon for her at the Orlando Studios. The Jamaican claimed that the sprinter would always open the door for her and Lyles agreed.
"One thing about my boyfriend, he always opens the door. Right baby?” she said.
"Right,” Lyles replied.
As reported by "Pulse Sports Uganda" Noah Lyles gifted a car worth over $40k to Junelle Bromfield in April this year. It was a blue Hyundai Genesis and marked the Jamaican runner’s first-ever car.
Noah Lyles shows support for girlfriend Junelle Bromfield
Junelle Bromfield came under severe criticism from Jamaican fans earlier this year after boyfriend Noah Lyles claimed she would keep him updated about her nation's sprinters.
Following the Olympic Games, Lyles penned a sweet note for Bromfield, claiming that he was proud of her and wanted to give her the praise she deserved via an Instagram post.
“I just want to say how incredibly proud I am of my GF and give her the flowers she deserves now 💐. She has been through so much in her life that I could never imagine fighting through. Beyond that, she is a survivor, 2x Olympian, Olympic medalists, Multi world championship medalist, and has been representing Jamaica on the world stage since she was 8 years old.”
The 27-year-old added that the most impressive thing he had found in Junelle Bromfield was how she had dealt with ‘pure disrespect and hatred’ from the fans online.
“But the most impressive thing I’ve seen recently is how she’s dealt with the pure disrespect and hatred towards her from her own country. This woman has been attacked by people who have never met her, heard her name before, never seen her smile, or heard what she believes in. But she keeps moving forward knowing that God will always make a way. That's why God keeps blessing her!”
Noah Lyles has called off his 2024 season after the Paris Olympics. He will now be spotted in action in early 2025 during the indoor season.
