After more than two weeks of exhilarating sporting action, the Paris Olympics 2024 will finally conclude on August 11. Currently, the USA occupies second place on the medal tally with a total of 122 medals, including 38 gold, 42 silver, and 42 bronze. The United States is trailing China by just one gold medal as the Asian nation leads with 39 gold, 27 silver, and 24 bronze.
On Day 15 of the Paris Olympics, the gold medalists for the United States were the women’s football team, Masai Russell, men’s and women’s 4x400m relay teams. The silver was acheived by Nevin Harrison in Canoeing - Women's C-1 200 m and Brooke Raboutou in Sport Climbing - combined. Kyle Dake was the only bronze medalist of the day, in Wrestling men’s freestyle 74kg.
The last day of the quadrennial Games will witness the USA athletes aiming to end the event on a high by occupying the top position in the prestigious Summer Games. Marathon events, women’s basketball and volleyball matches, and wrestling events are set to take place on August 11.
