The second day of the 2024 Paris Olympics witnessed the USA athletes’ dominance in Swimming, Fencing, and Gymnastics, among others. After adding seven more medals, the USA team has jumped to third position in the medals tally. So far, the United States has collected a total of 12 medals, including 3 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
On July 28, the USA saw gold medal-winning performances from swimmer Torri Huske, who produced a sensational performance to defeat compatriot and world record holder Gretchen Walsh, and Lee Kiefer, who defended her Olympic title. The silver medalists were Haley Batten and swimmers Walsh and Nic Fink, while Carson Foster was the sole bronze medalist on Day 2 at the Paris Olympics.
Day 3 of the 2024 Paris Olympics (July 29) will witness the USA athletes featuring in multiple medal events as they aim to extend their dominance in the quadrennial games. Some athletes to watch out for are Ryan Murphy, Lilly King, Katie Grimes, Emma Weyant, Luke Hobson, Claire Weinstein, Brody Malone, Fred Richard, Nick Itkin, Alexander Massialas, and Gerek Meinhardt.
