Paris Olympics 2024 Medal Count Day 10: Updated tally as Team USA stands 1st after Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles' floor exercise victory

After Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles' victory in floor exercise, Team USA is leading the medal tally at the Paris Olympics 2024. So far the American contingent has secured 79 medals.

The collection of 79 medals includes 21 gold, 30 silver, and 28 bronze medals. After the end of Day 10 of the Paris Olympic Games, the People's Republic of China is following the USA in the medal tally with 53 medals, including 21 gold, 18 silver and 14 bronze medals.

Australia and France have secured third and fourth place on the medal tally table by earning 48 and 33 medals, respectively. On Day 10, the American squad bagged eight medals, including two gold, four silver, and two bronze medals. The medal count for each sport for the USA after the conclusion of Day 10 of the 2024 Paris Olympics is given below:

Medals won by Team USA on Day 10 of the 2024 Paris Olympics

Valarie Allman secured a gold medal in the women's discus throw after registering a mark of 69.50m. She defeated the Chinese and Croatian counterparts, Feng Bin and Sandra Elkasevic, who recorded 67.51m.

Caroline Marks clinched the first medal for the USA in surfing after grabbing a gold medal in the women's shortboard surfing. She collected the gold medal after scoring 10.50 to dominate Tatiana Weston Webb's 10.33 points.

Sam Kendricks settled behind Mondo Duplantis, who dominated the men's pole vault event with a whopping world record of 6.25m. Kendricks followed the Swedish-American pole vaulter with 5.95m. Continuing her successful streak, Simone Biles bagged a silver medal in the women's floor event following her fierce competitor Rebeca Andrade.

While Andrade posted 14.166 points, Biles collected a total of 14.133 points. Biles was followed by her fellow teammate Jordan Chiles, who gathered 13.766 points. Vincent Hancock earned his second medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics after securing a silver medal with Austen Smith in the mixed skeet event.

The American team, including Taylor Knibb, Morgan Pearson, Seth Rider, and Taylor Spivey took home a silver medal in the mixed triathlon event. The United States women's national 3x3 team won a bronze medal after defeating the Canadian team 16-13.
