Jamaican sprinting legend Usain Bolt joined hands with the global soccer community to celebrate Manchester United's English FA Cup title victory over Manchester City, while remarking if United had a better season than Arsenal. The Olympian applauded United on their win in his recent social media post.

On Saturday, United stunned the world as they crossed the finish line against the heavy favorites, City. Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo ensured Manchester United's 2-1 victory with their goals in the first half.

Manchester City had won six out of seven games against United in their previous face-offs, but the upset meant that the Bruno Fernandes-led team won their 13th FA Cup, second most after Arsenal (14).

Usain Bolt was very enthusiastic about the Old Trafford-based club's title victory and has been following soccer up close.

The eight-time Olympic champion has expressed his love for Manchester United quite a few times, and when the men in red secured the Cup, Bolt could not contain his excitement. He shared a post on his Instagram stories celebrating their win and asking an intriguing question. He wrote:

Usain Bolt once almost made it to Manchester United's roster to participate in a game against Barcelona at Old Trafford for the match between Manchester United and Barcelona Legends for a charity match in 2017, but unfortunately, the runner had to opt out of the game due to a hamstring injury.

In an exclusive interview with Talk Sport in 2023, Bolt claimed that one of Manchester United's players could beat him in a 20-yard sprint matchup. Referring to the English footballer Marcus Rashford, Bolt said,

"Yeah! Rashford is quick out the blocks, that is what he does. He has that burst of speed but after that, I told him, you could probably get me in 20 [yards]. But after that, it is over!"

While never playing for them professionally, Usain Bolt did get to play at United's home, Old Trafford, for a soccer charity match last year in June to raise funds for UNICEF. He scored the opening goal of the match and helped his Rest of the World team secure the win over England.
