Quincy Wilson has been one of the rising stars in the United States Junior circuit. After incredible performances in the 2024 season primarily over the 400m, he is one of the favorite high school athletes who is probable to make it to the coveted United States Olympic Trials later this year.
Quincy Wilson broke the United States High School record in the 400m earlier this year at the New Balance Indoor National Track and Field Championships clocking an impressive 45.76s. This performance by a 16-year-old athlete took the track and field World by storm and World Champion Noah Lyles applauded him.
Recently, he put forward a similar performance at the Penn Relays during the 4x400m race. Wilson was all set to be the final runner of the relay. The athlete from Bullis Track and Field had a fall during the first leg of the race which led them to trail behind the other teams in the initial stages of the race.
Wilson stormed in the final leg covering every athlete ahead of him, ultimately taking the lead in the final 100m and clocking the fastest 400m relay split ever recorded in U.S High school history.

Quincy Wilson on making it to the Olympic Games
After creating the Indoor High School record, Quincy Wilson opened up on the prospects of making it to the U.S. Olympic trials. The Olympic trials, considered one of the toughest contests for an American athlete, will feature some of the best American athletes fighting for a spot in the U.S. Olympic team.
In an interview with Flo Track, Quincy Wilson spoke about competing in the Olympic trials.
"You know I have looked up to them for a long time but now I think it's my turn because I have come to the upper generation now. I can't wait to get, I hope I can be able to make the team and things like that because right now I was looking, I think I can, I may go to the trials this summer," he said.
With multiple outdoor track meets lined up before the Olympic trials, it would be an exciting two months full of power-packed performances.
