Ahead of the final race at the 2024 Racers Grand Prix, Noah Lyles will partake in a walk-through with U20 indoor and outdoor record-holder in the triple jump, Jaydon Hibbert, who announced the news ahead of the meet slated for June 1, 2024.

Lyles, 26, etched his name as the second-fastest 200m athlete on the world all-around standings after his 2023 World Athletics Championship win. He surpassed Calvin Smith and Michael Johnson's record by clocking 19.52s but was a fraction behind the legendary Usain Bolt.

In the recent Atlanta City Games, Lyles further attempted to lower Bolt's 150m record (2009) but his time of 14.41s fell short again - this time too by just 0.06s. In the upcoming Racers Grand Prix, Lyles will be in contention for the 100m win with the likes of Ferdinand Omanyala and Zharnel, with the world record in mind.

Noah Lyles will also share the track with the 17-year-old U20 triple jump record-holder Hibbert, who summoned fans in an X update to watch both Lyles and him in action in a walk-through.

"Guys, come out early! Noah and I will be doing our walk through at Racers!!!!"

At the 2023 Division 1 NCAA Indoor Championships, Jaydon Hibbert, 19, jumped 17.54m to shatter the 38-year-old long-standing U20 world record. However, after having qualified for the 2023 World Championships, Hibbert unfortunately saw his opportunity to make it to the final slip due to a hamstring injury.

In 2024, he secured the triple jump win at the Jamaica International, showing his prowess on the track to be intact.

"I put in the work" - Noah Lyles on putting maximum effort to achieve his goals

In a recent interview with Dazed, the 26-year-old Olympian talked about his goal of winning four golds at the Paris Olympics. The host, in awe of his rather extraordinary ambition, asked Lyles whether the term 'delulu' (internet and Gen-Z slang version of 'delusion') applies to him or not.

Lyles refuted any insinuation, confirming that if he puts his mind to something, he doesn't stop until he achieves it.

"Once I set my mind to something, I make it come true. That doesn’t mean I just sit back and wish upon a star. I put in the work. I control the natural and let God control the super – that’s how you create the supernatural.”

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Noah Lyles bagged the 200m bronze, equaling his Olympic Trials 200m time. So, after the Racers Grand Prix showcase, the 2024 Paris Olympics will be the first Games where he will be a gold favorite.
