Rebeca Andrade recently stole the show in a dazzling dress as she received the honor of the GQ Brasil Woman of the Year honor. Andrade secured the honor following her victorious streak at the Paris Olympics.
The Brazilian gymnast secured four medals at the French capital, including a gold, two silver, and one bronze medal. She defeated the legendary gymnast Simone Biles to clinch the gold medal in the floor exercise after leading the event with a narrow margin. While Biles posted 14.133 points, Andrade collected 14.166 points.
The 25-year-old gymnast competed in all four events to contribute to the bronze medal victory in the team event, earning 15.100, 14.533, 14.133, and 14.200 points in the vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise events.
In the wake of her glorious feat, the gymnast was honored with the GQ Brasil Woman of the Year award, where she was seen stealing the spotlight in a shimmering dress. She paired the dress with a black top and shorts.
She paired the dress with diamond hoops and rings and a black hairband. Andrade also added a minimal neckpiece to her outfit. She completed her look with silver stilettos and a bag. The GQ Brasil announced the update on social media and wrote:
"The most inspiring and joyful name in Brazilian sports in 2024 is hers, elected Woman of the Year at #MOTYBR2024 . Our gala night honored the gymnast with the most Olympic medals in national sports. The only woman among the ten biggest medalists. Rebeca Andrade, you are GIANT! ✨️"

Rebeca Andrade expressed her gratitude towards her coach, family, and teammates after receiving the GQ Brasil Woman of the Year honor.
She also extended her gratitude to her idol, Daiane dos Santos, who became the first Brazilian gymnast to clinch a title at the World Championships. The retired gymnast secured the floor exercise title at the 2003 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Conveying her gratitude Andrade wrote:
"Receiving an award like this is very meaningful, a real honor. Many moments come to mind and it is impossible not to thank everyone who is part of this. I did not get here alone. I bring with me those who paved the way in sports so that I could get here, who showed me that I could be whatever I wanted, like Daiane dos Santos. I bring with me my family, who has always been by my side and holding my hand."
She added:
"I bring the Brazilians, who rooted and rooted so much for me. Thank you very much."
With six Olympic medals to her name, Rebeca Andrade has become the most decorated Brazilian Olympian.
