Riley Gaines has reacted to the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act passed by the US House of Representatives. The bill was passed by a vote of 218-206, including 2 bipartisan votes from Democrat senators.

Introduced by the Republican senator William Gregory Steube, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act aims to prevent trans athletes from participating in any kind of women's sports events, including at the school level. The bill also allows the American government to take action against the respective state government for promoting any such kind of activity within their region.

Steube mentioned in his address to the House of Representatives:

"An overwhelming majority of Americans believe that men don’t belong in women’s sports, and that we must allow common sense to prevail. My bill will deliver upon the mandate the American people gave Congress to restore the integrity of women’s sports, just as Title IX intended"

Gaines was chuffed at the development and took to her X handle [formerly Twitter] to express her thoughts on the decision. She posted,

"The Protection of Women and Girls Sports Act passes the House with 2 Texas Democrats (Gonzalez and Cuellar) voting in support making it bipartisan. On to the senate!"

Riley Gaines also campaigned against the Title IX changes imposed by the outgoing US administration led by outgoing President Joe Biden. The changes aimed to give additional protection to trans athletes. However, according to Gaines and other critics, the changes were just an excuse to suppress any criticism against the participation of trans athletes in women's sports.

Riley Gaines also reacted recently to the Democrat senator Sarah McBride tutoring pupils in a viral video. The 34-year-old trans congresswoman has been reelected as a member of the House of Representatives from the Delaware region.

In a video posted by X user @libsoftiktok, McBride was seen teaching pupils about how can someone seek medical help and undergo transformation to become a transgender. In particular, the Democrat senator talked about how doctors could help young kids transform into one.

Gaines reacted to the video by sharing it on her X handle with the caption,

"Congressman McBride sharing to a kindergarten class why being transgender is "good". If you look up grooming in a dictionary, this is what you would see. Criminal."

The 24-year-old social activist also elaborated on the same in another post on her X handle,

"Did the parents know this was happening in their child’s class? And If they did and sent their kid to school anyways, are we sure these people are fit to be parents?"

Riley Gaines has been persistently campaigning to exclude trans athletes from women's sports since 2022. She also campaigned against the participation of Algerian boxer Imane Khelif at the Paris Olympics.
