"Rip buddy" - Michael Phelps, Ryan Murphy & other swimmers pay heartfelt tributes on Team USA massage therapist & chiropractor Brian Campbell's death

Michael Phelps, Ryan Murphy, and other swimmers have paid heartfelt tributes to renowned Team USA support staff member Brian Campbell. Team USA Swimming officially announced Campbell's death. He served the team and many athletes as their massage therapist and chiropractor for decades.

Campbell traveled with the team to multiple World Championships and Olympic Games. He developed a great bond with many swimmers who took to social media to offer their condolences while sharing their fond memories with him.

"We are saddened to hear about the recent loss of renowned Team USA massage therapist and chiropractor, Brian Campbell. He served American swimmers for decades on the pool decks of numerous Olympic Games and World Championships. We send our gratitude to Brian for his years of service to our sport, and our thoughts to the friends, family, and athletes who knew him," Team USA's official statement read.

Phelps took to Instagram to offer his condolences and reflected on the fun memories he and Campbell shared over 20 years.

"So many memories Brian...Rip Buddy. Thoughts and prayers to your fam. The stories of your son..the jokes...20 years of good times.. Thank you for being such a good human being," Michael Phelps wrote.

Ryan Murphy offered his condolences and wrote:

"Brian will be missed. He was always fun conversation, had great presence, and an awesome Chiro 💔"

Having been together with the team for multiple swimming events, Bob Bowman and Brian Campbell shared a great bond. Michael Phelps' ex-coach reflected on his time with Campbell during major swimming competitions, sharing a picture in the pool with him, and wrote:

"Rest easy Brian. We shared some amazing moments together in Beijing, Federal Way, Indianapolis and everywhere in between. We will all miss your smile and positivity. Love you my friend. 💔 "

Along with Team USA swimmers, fans took to social media to pay their tributes to Campbell and thanked him for his incredible support to the team over the years.
