Nine Olympic champions will vie in Rome in front of almost 55,000 fans. Four men's 100m 2024 Olympic finalists will lock horns to clinch the top place in the men's 100m at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
Kishane Thompson, who secured a silver medal after falling short by a mere 0.005 seconds for the gold medal in Paris will compete against the bronze medalist Fred Kerley. While Thompson clocked 9.79(.789), Kerley posted 9.81 seconds. USA's Noah Lyles clinched the gold medal with 9.79(.784).
Italy's Marcell Jacob, who settled in fifth place in the French capital with 9.85 seconds will also be seen marking his prospects on Friday. He will be joined by the sixth-place finisher Letsil Tebogo, who recorded 9.86 seconds.
