Rome Diamond League Final Results: Letsile Tebogo stuns Christian Coleman and Fred Kerley, Tara Davis-Woodhall closes off season in dominant fashion

The 2024 Rome Diamond League, the 13th event of the Wanda Diamond League series, was held on August 30 at Stadio Olimpico. Multiple continental records, national records, world lead, and personal best performances were set at this Diamond League meet.

Bahrain's Winfred Yavi missed out on the world record by a margin of 0.07s as she set a new Asian record, world lead, meet record, and personal best of 8:44.39 in the women's 3000m steeplechase.

In the women's long jump, reigning Olympic champion Tara Davis-Woodhall ended her 2024 season with a victory in the Diamond League meet with a dominant effort of 7.02m, ahead of compatriots Monae' Nichols (6.82m) and Quanesha Burks (6.66m).

Meanwhile, the 200m Olympic gold medalist Letsile Tebogo (9.87s) stunned both Christian Coleman (9.92s) and Fred Kerley (9.95s), also the Olympic bronze medalist, to win the men's 100m at the Rome Diamond League.

On the men's side, Kristjan Ceh (discus throw), Andy Diaz Hernandez (triple jump), Ryan Crouser (shot put), Muzala Samukonga (400m), Woo Sang-hyeok (high jump), and Hagos Gebrhiwet (5000m) emerged as the other winners at the Rome Diamond League.

Meanwhile, Nina Kennedy (pole vault), Ackera Nugent (100m hurdles), Brittany Brown (200m), Anna Cockrell (400m Hurdles), and Faith Kipyegon (1500m) won in the women's events.
