Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian hyped up Alaysha Johnson after she got recognized for her track and field achievements. Notably, Johnson's feature story has been published in Forbes, the popular American business magazine.
Johnson had an impressive 2024 season where she came second in the 100m hurdles at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials with a time of 12.31s to qualify for her first Olympic Games. There, she recorded the fastest time of 12.34 seconds against a strong field to reach the finals.
After advancing to the finals, Alaysha Johnson took to her X (formerly Twitter) to discuss the ticket requirements for her Olympic final, writing:
“If anybody wants to buy me 8 tickets so my family can watch me run then I’d love yall 😭😭 but know they going for $500 a piece 😂😂😂”
Since Johnson was scheduled to compete in the track meet hosted by Alexis Ohanian, the Reddit co-founder noted on X that the Athlos meet would take care of the ticket expenses. However, the finals didn’t go how Johnson had hoped as she finished seventh, thus missing out on a medal.
Following her 2024 season-end, Alaysha Johnson reacted to her feature story getting published in Forbes. She took to her X (formerly Twitter) to share her feelings, writing:
“I got a write-up in FORBES 😭😭 little ole me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭”
Ohanian hyped Johnson up by commenting on her post.
“YES YOU”, he stated.
Johnson further expressed pride in her remarkable journey from working at the Hooters chain to reaching the Olympic finals. She said on X:
“Literally went from working at Hooters to an Olympic finalist with a write up in Forbes. 🥹”
