Sha'Carri Richardson reacted to fellow track athlete Christian Coleman's latest feature in a Nike outfit, seemingly at his home during Thanksgiving. Richardson came fresh off winning the 100m silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Coleman also competed in the 100m but failed to make a podium finish.
Several fans have linked Richardson and Coleman, but the athletes haven't yet confirmed anything beyond just training partners under Dennis Mitchell's tutelage. Richardson was part of the 4x100m relay team that won gold in Paris but Coleman's 4x100m relay podium slipped because of a botch in baton handover.
Following the Games, the duo attended the Week 9 match-up between the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys. As a Dallas native, Richardson received an ovation from the crowd for her Olympic success. Coleman, present in the audience, snapped the moment and captioned his Instagram story as:
"Rise Up"
Richardson took a screengrab and posted in her social media story with the caption:
"My step team"
On November 29, 2024, Coleman shared a picture series in a casual Nike outfit at his home during the holidays. He was seen sitting on the steps and taking a mirror selfie with a walk-in wardrobe in the background.
His caption read:
"Only God can save us."
The 100m reigning world champion shared the post in her Instagram story with a black heart, star, and a sand clock emoji.
Coleman and Sha'Carri were part of their respective 4x100m relay teams at the 2023 World Championships. Both the men's and the women's teams clocked the fastest times to win the pole podium.
Christian Coleman once talked about Sha'Carri Richardson's dominance in women's track
Christian Coleman was gearing up for the 2024 Xiamen Diamond League when he opined on Sha'Carri Richradson's dominance on the global stage. In a press conference before the event, he called her 'special', and believed his compatriot could take the track domain to new heights with her dominance.
"I mean she is special. And I think she is somebody who is in the forefront of women's empowerment and women's sports and just taking it to a whole different level," the 28-year-old said.
Coleman further added:
"She's a beast within her own right and she's a special talent, and I think she's someone who's going to continue to propel the sport forward and be able to take it to new heights and I'm a fan too."
Not having competed in an event after the Paris Olympics, the 100m Olympic silver medalist will next take the track at the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo.
