Sha'Carri Richardson was joyous after receiving a gift and a new hairstyle. The American sprinter is preparing for a comeback season after struggling in the big races last year.
Richardson took to Instagram on Saturday to show off her new curly bundles, and a red bag she said was a gift from her 'babe'.
"Red bag from babe 🥰, Hairstyle by @tamedbybri, Bundles from mee," she wrote

Richardson is one of the fastest sprinters in history but struggled to maintain her form in the latter half of last year. She clocked a world-leading 10.71s at the US Olympic Trials before losing to Julien Alfred in the 100m finals at the Paris Olympics and Diamond League Finals.
The 2023 world champion will be looking to make a comeback this season and regain the 100-meter title at the World Championships in Tokyo.
She started preparing for the season in November last year but is unlikely to compete in the indoor season. Since turning professional, she has never opened her season before March.
“There was a time I felt stuck...now I feel like I love the softness and femininity that I’m able to walk in" - Sha'Carri Richardson

Sha'Carri Richardson rose to prominence in 2019 after breaking the collegiate 100m record. The American sprinter has come a long way since, and after completing the Olympic and World title double last year, she credited her friends and family with support.
“I feel like being with people who pour into me has shown me I’m everything that I know that I want to give out to the world, and I know I’m everything that I feel in myself,” Richardson told Essence
“There was a time I felt stuck, and now I feel like I love the softness and femininity that I’m able to walk in. I have people that I know that if I fall backward, they’re right there."
The 24-year-old further added her close circle understood her and corrected her when she was wrong.
“I know I have a community right here that understands, that cherishes me, as well as will correct me and let me know when I’m wrong. My relationships have definitely helped me be gentle with myself.”
Richardson was raised by her grandmother, Betty Harp, and aunt, Shayaria Richardson. Very little information is available about her biological parents.
