Tara Davis-Woodhall received words of appreciation from Masai Russell for the content she puts up on Instagram. Not long ago, both the athletes concluded their Paris Olympics campaign with dominant triumphs.
Davis-Woodhall competed in the long jump event and grabbed her first Olympic gold medal. She posted a height of 7.10 m to stand atop the podium, besting the defending champion Malaika Mihambo and Jasmine Moore, who registered 6.98 m and 69.96 m, claiming second and third place, respectively.
On the other hand, Russell also clinched a gold medal in the 100m hurdles, where she clocked a time of 12.33s, defeating Cyrena Samba-Mayela and Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, who recorded 12.34s and 12.36s to secure second and third place, respectively. Following this, she also competed in Alexis Ohanian's Athlos NYC, where she won a bronze medal in the 100m hurdles event.
A few days after her triumphs, Russell gave a shout-out to her friend, Tara Davis-Woodhall, in an interview with Instagram. The 24-year-old was asked who her favorite 'follow' on Instagram was, to which she took the long jump athlete's name and also gave the reason behind her choice:
"I m just gonna say, my friend, Tara Davis-Woodhall. Her content is exhilarating, its exciting. She's insane, she's crazy, she's interactive, she's just herself. So, definitely my close friend Tara," Russell said.

"8/08 that’s the day I win the Olympics.” A saying i’ve been saying for MONTHS ever since I found the schedule. Any time the clock says 8:08 i say out loud that that is the day i win the olympics. My journal is filled with affirmations and truths about myself. Filled with goals and dreams. On 8/07 i told myself i will be the Olympic Champion. On 8/08 i told myself you ARE the Olympic Champion. Tara Davis-Woodhall is currently enjoying her off-season with her husband, Hunter Woodhall, who also won a gold medal in the men's 400m T62 at the Paris Paralympics, where he clocked 46.36s to win the race.
