Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce shared a sneak peek of her Christmas celebration with her foundation, Pocket Rocket. The Jamaican athlete came up with this foundation to guide student-athletes with specialized programming on advocacy, media training, mental wellness, and others.
The Jamaican athlete wrapped up her 2024 year after withdrawing from the Paris Olympics, citing an injury. This was supposedly the final Olympics of Fraser-Pryce, and it did not pan out as expected, as she withdrew from the 100m semifinal on August 3 and kept the chance of competing in the 4x100m relay final optional; however, she did not run in that too.
Months after her Olympics setback, the Jamaican athlete shared some glimpses of her Pocket Rocket Foundation's Christmas celebration. She uploaded several updates on her Instagram story, where she was seen interacting with the underprivileged kids. She volunteered with everyone and was seen wearing a red Pocket Rocket t-shirt, which had 'Christmas Treat' written on it.
In one of the stories, she was seen adorably posing with Barbie dolls, and in the next story, she was seen distributing hot dogs to the kids and wrote:
"Hotdog time😋 "
The Pocket Rocket Foundation was founded by Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in 2013 and has successfully run the foundation, helping student-athletes in need till today by providing them with academic funding for pursuing their future goals. Not just Christmas celebrations, the foundation also initiates multiple other programs.
