Noah Lyles opens up about Junelle Bromfield's friendship with Kishane Thompson

Noah Lyles recently gave an interview on Colin Waitzman's Track World News, where he opened up about the relationship he shares with his girlfriend and Jamaican athlete, Junelle Bromfield. He also revealed that his girlfriend shares a lot of things about the Jamaican track camp. Along with this, Lyles also spoke about her friendship with his upcoming 100m contender, Kishane Thompson.

"Talk about Kishane and Oblique, she is very close to Kishane," said Noah Lyles. "I mean, I’ve known a lot of people that others might not have any idea about. Junelle’s eye for talent is very strong and if she says someone is going to run fast, they usually run fast."

Following this, the world champion also justified the statement he made about Thompson after his 100m win at the Jamaican trials.

"I said that ("I hope he stays injured") about Kishane because I know he's had a horrid history with injuries and that everytime he runs fast, he usually has to be taken off, so the fact that he was able to keep going its like 'oh, this is great, he's actually being able to show his full potential."

Noah Lyles will be seen competing against the likes of Kishane Thompson and Oblique Seville in the 100m dash at the Paris Olympics, scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11.
