Simone Biles' adorably reacts as husband Jonathan Owens imitates her gymnastics salute for a celebration after a forced fumble on the NFL field

Simone Biles is done with her busy 2024 season, and during her time away from the sport, she's showing her support for her husband Jonathan Owens as she attends his NFL games. Recently, as Owens forced a fumble during the Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings game, he celebrated by imitating the ‘gymnastics’ salute, leading to an adorable reaction from his wife.

For Biles, 2024 has been an incredible year. The gymnast began her competitive season on the domestic circuit, going unbeaten in a handful of competitions before she headed to the Paris Olympics to make her third consecutive appearance at the Games.

In Paris, Biles established her status as the most decorated gymnast, helping the USA reclaim the team gold medal while winning two golds and a silver individually. On the other hand, the gymnast's husband, Jonathan Owens, and his NFL team, the Chicago Bears, have struggled this season, putting up several underwhelming performances on the field.

However, in their Sunday night clash against the Minnesota Vikings, Owens forced a fumble on the goal line and celebrated by doing the gymnastics salute on the ground, throwing both his hands in the air.

Simone Biles was left suitably impressed with her husband and took to Instagram to share a video of his celebration, captioning it with three white hearts and three ‘crying with laughter's emojis.

Simone Biles on Jonathan Owens’ experience at the Paris Olympics

Before Simone Biles appeared on the NFL field to show her support for her husband, she was busy with her own competition season, and Owens made sure to take up the cheerleading duties when his wife was competing. The Chicago Bears safety even made the trip to Paris to watch her at the Games and was seen rooting for Biles from the stands.

According to the gymnast, Owens thoroughly enjoyed his first time at the Games. She told the Today Show,

"For him, it meant the world to him because he's seen the amount of hours that I put in, so to actually see in person, he was like, 'Wow. This is amazing.' He was just so excited to be there.”

Apart from the Olympics, Jonathan Owens constantly supported Simone Biles in her 2024 season, attending all of her domestic competitions. The NFL safety also made sure to be in the audience of the gymnast's ‘Gold Over America' tour immediately after the Games.
