Simone Biles recently reacted to her husband Jonathan Owens' team, the Chicago Bears, NFL victory. The Bears finally managed to win against the Green Bay Packers by a bare margin of 24-22.
Biles uploaded her reaction on her Instagram story, with the caption,
"A bears win babyyyyyyy! Bear Down!"
This was the first victory of the Chicago Bears' in the past few months. The last time they had won an NFL game was in October 2024, when the Bears won against the Jacksonville Jaguars by a healthy margin of 35-16. Since then, the Chicago Bears did not win a single game, their last loss being against the Seattle Seahawks by a margin of 3-6.
Yet, this hasn't discouraged Biles from attending most of the games. The 27-year-old gymnast even attended the NFL games scheduled around the Christmas holidays.
Simone Biles had a fruitful season in 2024, with four medals [including three gold] from the Paris Olympics. She is looking forward to extending her illustrious legacy in 2025, especially with the World Championships in line.
Simone Biles on the significance of attending her husband Jonathan Owens' game
It is no secret that Simone Biles attends almost every NFL game of her husband Jonathan Owens. A few weeks ago, the American gymnast opened up on its significance and why she attended those games.
In her conversation with the Olympics.com, Simone Biles mentioned,
"Oh my gosh. It means the world to me. And I know it means so much to him for me to be able to go and support his games. For him, it means a lot for me to go on the sideline before because he says that's his pre-game routine. So he's always looking for me on the sideline to give him, like, good luck vibes and wishes. That's just his superstition."
When asked about who was more relaxed between Biles and Owens, the gymnast further added,
"Well, usually, you're not allowed to be with him the night before, so we sleep separately in the hotel. And then after that, he usually comes up, gives me a kiss goodbye. So, it's very ... He's so chill. He's relaxed. And that's also his personality. Not as stressed as me," she said.
Though the Chicago Bears ended the season dismal, they broke their losing streak. The Bears are now hopeful of a change in their fortunes in the 2025-26 season.
