Simone Biles recently exuded happiness upon reuniting with her husband and an NFL player of the Chicago Bears, Jonathan Owens. The couple mostly spends time apart concerning their commitment to their respective sports.
Biles, who recently wrapped up her Paris Olympics campaign with four medals, is currently performing in the Gold Over America Tour, which is a concert-kind of event, but for gymnastics. She launched this initiative during the Tokyo Olympics to honor the Olympians and promote their mental health.
It was initially only for women gymnasts; however, in the second edition, both women and male gymnasts will be taking a tour of America, celebrating themselves as Olympians. The team's most recent performance was on October 15, 2024, at St. Charles.
Meanwhile, Owens committed to the Chicago Bears in the middle of the NFL season, where he travels every week to compete with other teams. The last game played by him and his team was on October 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, where his team dominated with a 35-16 score.
Amid their professional shenanigans, the couple reunited and spent some quality time together. Biles took to her Instagram story and shared an adorable selfie of both of them lying together in bed, with Owens holding the 27-year-old. She also added a sweet caption that read:
"Waking up next to you >>>>>"
Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens opened up about their love language
In a recent conversation with People.com, Jonathan Owens revealed that supporting each other is their love language. He cheered for Simone Biles while she was competing at the Paris Olympics by wearing a t-shirt that had her surname printed on it and also noted down her score while she was performing. He also stated that he loved being a cheerleader for his wife.
"I love watching it from an athlete's perspective because that's how you'd be great in any sport, is just being consistent and doing the same thing consistently good every day. You know what I mean? I love to watch it and I love to be out there and be a cheerleader," said Owens
He further spoke about paying attention to Simone Biles' routine and said:
"I know the routines. I'm getting the score down. If I'm going to pay attention to it, I have to lock in. I'm going to go full in … So I had to make sure I did some research so I can talk gymnastics language."
Jonathan Owens' next game is against the Washington Commanders and is scheduled to take place on October 28, 2024. Simone Biles and her team will next be heading to Kansas City for their next Gold Over America Tour performance on October 16.
