American gymnast Simone Biles revealed why she cannot every NFL game of her husband, Jonathan Owens. This comes ahead of her Gold Over America tour performance in Indianapolis on Oct. 29.
A seven-time Olympic gold medalist, Biles has been immensely supportive of Owens in his career. Not only does the 27-year-old attend her husband's games, but she also helps him rectify his shortcomings and weaknesses. She was present at the stands during Owens' team's season-opener against Tennessee Titans on September 8.
However, owing to her current schedule, Simone Biles has not been able to cheer for Owens from the stands in recent games. In an interview with Good Morning America, Biles addressed this issue and said that she wants to attend most of her husband's NFL games, but due to a tight-packed Gold Over America tour schedule, it has become difficult for her.
"I try to go to as many games as I can. Obviously, it is a little harder right now as I am on tour but we go to go to one while on tour and then other than that, the rest of the season yeah," Biles said.
Simone Biles' husband's team Chicago Bars is not in a comfortable position right now at the National Football Conference table. They are fourth in the NFC North bracket with four wins and three losses. In their last outing against the Washington Commanders, the Bears lost 15-18.
Simone Biles comments on building a friendship with Jonathan Owens' NFL counterpart Travis Kelce's girlfriend Taylor Swift
Simone Biles recently opened up about building a friendship bond with Taylor Swift who is currently dating NFL player, Travis Kelce. Kelce plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, a team that is currently leading the AFC West Conference.
In an interview with Access Hollywood on October 24, Biles was asked about her take on being friends with Swift. Replying to this, Biles said that after her tour ends she would love to develop a bond with Swift. However, she also remarked that it isn't generous enough to make bonds with 'opponents' (as quoted by Today):
"I’m currently on tour, so unfortunately not. I’ve missed a lot of games. But as soon as we finish tour, then yes. But you usually don’t bond with opponents."
Owens' side, the Chicago Bears, and Kelce's side, the Chiefs had a clash during the NFL preseason in which the Bears convincingly beat the Chiefs 34-21.
