The most decorated female artistic gymnast, Simone Biles, has been nominated in the best comeback athlete category for the 2024 ESPY Awards alongside a star-studded list of other nominees including Paige Bueckers, Zion Williamson. This comes after her incredible performance at the 2023 World Championships.

Biles has left no stone unturned in her prolonged gymnastics career, as she has achieved almost everything that is there for a gymnast to accomplish. From winning seven Olympic medals to clinching a colossal 30 world championship medals, Biles' talent knows no bounds.

Her 23 world championship golds remain a record that no other gymnast has accomplished to date. Furthermore, during the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, Belgium, Biles created history as she became the first women's gymnast to win six all-around titles.

Biles is currently present in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to participate in the U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Team Trials, which begin on June 27 at Target Center, and she is most likely to make it to secure her spot for her third consecutive Olympics in Paris.

Fans are anticipating her qualification as she is coming fresh off an incredible all-around title victory at the Core Hydration Classic in May, followed by another all-around title at the US Gymnastics Championships earlier this month.

Just ahead of the trials, Simone Biles is nearing yet another recognition in her career as she received a nomination for the 2024 ESPY Awards in the Best Comeback Athlete category.

Besides Biles, Paige Bueckers of the University of Connecticut Women’s Basketball, American football quarterback Joe Flacco, and New Orleans Pelicans power forward Zion Williamson are also nominated in the same category. The award winners will be announced on July 11 in a ceremony hosted by the former tennis legend Serena Williams.
