Simone Biles is in Minnesota ahead of her 2024 US Olympic Gymnastic Trials. With the event promising to be an adrenaline-filled one, Biles chose to go out on a date with her husband, Jonathan Owens to relieve some pressure.

After cementing her name as the US gymnast with a record seven Olympic medals, Simone Biles will vie to compete in her third Games at the Trials. She has four Olympic golds and looks to add to that in Paris this year.

Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens has been a constant support at his wife's gymnastic outings since her comeback at the 2024 US Classic. He has often cheered her on from the sidelines and made his presence felt as his wife's pillar of strength. He was also present when Biles won her ninth national title at the 2024 Xfinity Gymnastics Championships.

Owens has accompanied his wife to the Olympic Trials as well, as per Simone Biles' recent Instagram Stories from Minneapolis. The couple went on a date, clinking drinks to cool off as the pressure builds. Her caption reads:

"On a date, kinda nervous."

Owens also posted a view of a hoarding outside the Target Center in the city depicting the event, with 'US Olympic Team Trials GYMNASTICS' flashing on it, on his own Instagram Stories:

Biles did not win any golds at the Tokyo Olympics since she withdrew after the first rotation of the team trials due to the 'twisties'. After a two-year hiatus, she returned to the competition at the 2023 US Classic where she won her sixth all-around title.

Biles then left her mark on the 2023 National Championships, winning her eighth national title and at the 2023 World Championships, her sixth such title.

Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens is excited for the world to see her 'human side'

A new Netflix docuseries, Simone Biles Rising, will be released on July 17, 2024 in which the Olympian will walk the world through her hardships and how she persevered in her career and life.

Jonathan Owens, excited about the Netflix series depicting his wife's journey, shared his desire for the human side of Biles to be unveiled and not just the gymnast.

Owens reposted the trailer of the docuseries posted by the official X page of Netflix on his own X handle:

"A month away!! Excited for the world to finally get to know her human side, the one i fell in love with, not just the competitive gymnast. I’m so happy for you baby," Owens wrote.

The Women's Olympic Trials Day 1 will take place on June 28, 2024 from 6:30 pm. onward. NBC Peacock will broadcast the event.
