Simone Biles' husband and Chicago Bears' safety player, Jonathan Owens, finally had a reason to smile. The Bears ended their 2024-25 NFL season with a victory, breaking their 10-match losing streak by defeating Green Bay Packers by 24-22.
The game between the Bears and the Packers was also a special occasion due to Owens completing 7 years in the NFL. He took to Instagram to celebrate this occasion by uploading a couple of photographs from the game. Owens captioned the post as,
"Gratitude Year 7 ✅🐻⬇️"
Owens' spouse and gymnastics sensation Simone Biles was also present at the occasion. She later uploaded a video of her celebration on her Instagram story, with the caption,
"A bears win babyyyyyyy! Bear Down!"
After playing college football for Missouri Western till 2017, Owens was signed up by the Arizona Cardinals for his first NFL stint in 2018. However, he ended up as an injured reserve and was released by 2019.
Owens was subsequently signed up by the Houston Texans, though it wasn't until 2020 that he was signed onto the active roster. Owens played briefly for the Texans, until a wrist injury forced him out again. Owens then briefly represented the Green Bay Packers before he ultimately agreed to play for the Chicago Bears.

A few days ago, Simone Biles was bestowed with the 'Sportsperson of the Year Award' by the Sports Illustrated Magazine. Her husband Jonathan Owens was overjoyed at this news.
Owens took to Instagram to express his thoughts on the same. He shared the news on his Instagram story with the caption,
"So proud of you baby."
Owens shared another post recognizing Biles' achievement, and attached six heart emojis to the same. Biles also expressed her gratitude through Sports Illustrated's X post, where she mentioned,
"I'm Simone Biles and I'm so excited to be Sportsperson of the Year. I think it's such a huge honor and a blessing that I have paved the way for the younger generations in gymnastics and hopefully will continue to do so."
Owens and Biles' mutual affection isn't just limited to social media. During the Paris Olympics, Owens took out time to attend Biles' fixtures along with her adoptive parents Ron & Nellie Biles. The American gymnast reciprocated by attending most, if not all of Owens' NFL games from August onwards.
