Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens gushes over the gymnast as she dons a customized outfit featuring the NFL safety's face for his latest game

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are a power couple of the sporting world, and the duo are each other's biggest cheerleaders. Most recently, the gymnast attended her husband’s latest NFL game in an iconic customised outfit, leaving the Chicago Bears' safety amazed.

Biles and Owens first met in 2020, right before the Covid 19 lockdown, on the celebrity dating app Raya. The two quickly became close, and went public with their relationship a few months later. In 2022, Owens proposed to the gymnast on Valentine's day.

A year later, the couple got married, first in a courthouse ceremony in April, and later in a destination wedding in Cabo, Mexico in May. Over the years, Biles and Owens have become each other's biggest supporters. Most recently, Simone Biles attended Jonathan Owens’ Chicago Bears vs Seattle Seahawks game, and donned a customized outfit featuring the NFL star’s face for the occasion.

Reacting to Biles' outfit, Owens reshared a picture of her on his Instagram stories, and gushed over his wife, writing,

“Ain’t she beautiful. She keep it on!!!!!

Simone Biles on learning football for Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles is widely considered to be the greatest gymnast to have ever graced the sport, but there was a time when her expertise didn't extend far beyond the gym.

In an interview with People Magazine, Biles revealed that she didn't know much about football before meeting Jonathan Owens, saying,

“My dad and my brothers were always watching football, but I was never into it. But I was always at the gym too, it's not like I even had time to get to know it. In the very beginning, the Texans [in her hometown of Houston] would always bring me out so that I could lead the team out the tunnel and all of that good stuff, but I still knew absolutely not a thing about football.”

She went on to add that ever since she got married to the NFL player, she’s quickly caught up with the lingo. She said:

“I've learned so much and even some of his teammates' wives are like, ‘Oh my gosh, you've come so far, you've learned so much,’ because they've seen the journey.”

For his part, Jonathan Owens has also immersed himself in gymnastics since meeting Simone Biles. In 2024, the Chicago Bears safety was present in the audience whenever his wife was competing, including at the US Core Hydration Classic, the US National Championships, the US Olympic Trials, and the Paris Olympics. Owens was also spotted using a notebook to keep track of Biles' score whenever he was in the audience.
