Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens will miss the 2024 Hall of Fame matchup of Chicago Bears against the Houston Texans to cheer on his wife at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Biles will make her third Olympic appearance in Paris after an underwhelming stint at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

Simone Biles will look to add five more gold medals to her resume at the 2024 Paris Olympics after a turbulent end to the Tokyo Olympics and a two-year hiatus to prioritize mental health. In those two years, Biles and her then-boyfriend's dating story blossomed, and they got engaged in February 2022.

The couple tied the nuptial knot in April 2023, the same year Jonathan Owens signed with the NFL team, Green Bay Packers. After a stellar season with the Packers, he joined the Chicago Bears on a two-year contract. As the 105th NFL season is about to kick off, Owens will skip the Hall of Fame Game, the first matchup as a Bears player. He has received permission to be away from July 29 to August 1 to attend his wife's events in Paris.

Chicago Bears' head coach, Matt Eberflus, supported Owens' decision to root for Biles at the 2024 Summer Games.

"We respect the Olympics. That's a big deal. He's supporting the one he loves the most. I think that's so cool that he gets to do that, we welcome that and it's going to be awesome," Eberflus said (via Reuters).

Simone Biles' husband has been supporting his wife since her first performance at the 2024 Hydration Core Classic, an Olympic tune-up event. He also cheered on the Olympian at the US Gymnastics Championships and the Olympic Trials and was also spotted taking down scores of Simone Biles' performances.

Simone Biles pens a heartfelt note on her husband's birthday

With just two days left for the marquee Games, Biles penned a heartfelt note on Instagram on her husband's 29th birthday, expressing the desire to celebrate with him in person.

"Happy happy birthday to my husband, best friend, confidant and party goer thanks for being the calm to my storm! I love you with all my heart and I can’t wait to see what this year brings! let’s do it big baby wish I was there to celebrate you, but I’ll see you soon!!! XO," Biles wrote in the caption.

The Olympian shared a carousel of pictures from the couple's photoshoots, posing in beige and white attires and flaunting their wedding rings. Biles will look to extend her Olympic gold medal tally to nine at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
