"Taking trips with your best friend >> I love you so much baby, I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else ❤️🤞🏽"
The couple previously visited the gymnastics faceoff between Georgia Gymdogs and Boise State University. Biles made the visit in honor of her former coach, Cecile Landi, who had served for seven years at the World Champions Center, co-owned by Biles' adotpive parents, Ron & Nellie Biles.
Simone Biles was trained by Landi from 2017 to 2024. Though the French gymnast-turned-coach had accepted the offer to join the University of Georgia beforehand, she didn't officially join the University until the end of the Paris Olympics.
Simone Biles on choosing between her grandparents and her biological mother
Simone Biles hasn't hidden her childhood woes from anyone. Born to Shanon Biles and Kelvin Clemons, Simone Biles and her siblings had to initially grow up in foster care due to their biological parents' struggles with drug addictions before her grandparents came to the rescue.
In her memoir 'Courage to Soar', which was published in 2016, Biles recounted the time Shanon Biles attempted to reunite with the family. The gymnast wrote:
"A couple of days later, when Shanon started talking about trying to reunite the family, I didn’t know how to feel."
The American gymnast also added that she was torn between choosing her grandparents, who showed utmost care and affection towards her, and her biological mother. She added:
"Ashley and Tevin wanted to be with her, and as much as I’d grown to love and depend on my grandparents, I wanted to be with my brother and sister. I didn’t know the world without them. I felt so torn."
Simone Biles and her sister Adria Biles were eventually adopted by Ron & Nellie Biles, while her other two siblings were adopted by Ron's sister, Harriet.
