Simone Biles' husband and Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens expressed his thoughts as the gymnast penned a heartwarming note for his seventh season in the NFL. He also reacted to a cheeky gesture the couple had made at one of the Bears' games this season.
Biles shared a series of pictures from her trips to Bears games this season and wrote she would support Owens till the very end. The seven-time Olympic champion expressed pride on the completion of the football player's seventh year in the league and wrote:
"will support my man till the very end proud of you 36! year 7 in the books 💋."
Owens reciprocated the love in the comments section and wrote:
"🫶🏽🧡 I love you so much baby."
The 29-year-old reposted a video, in which he playfully slapped the back of the gymnast, from her post on his Instagram stories and reacted with two red heart emojis:
"❤️❤️," Simone Biles husband Jonathan Owens reacted.
Biles was a regular at Bears games in the regular season and sported several custom-made outfits in support of Owens. She has been living with the footballer in Chicago since the end of her Gold Over America Tour and said to Olympics.com that her life in the city revolved around football.
"It means the world to me" - Simone Biles on being able to repay the support to husband Jonathan Owens
Jonathan Owens skipped pre-season training with the Chicago Bears to support Simone Biles at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she eventually won four medals. While Owens didn't get similar success in his first season with the Bears, Biles was cheering him on through the whole season and said it meant the world to her to be able to repay the support.
Speaking in an interview with Olympics.com, the 27-year-old said blowing a kiss to Owens before the start of the game had become a superstition for the Bears' safety.
"Oh, my gosh. It means the world to me. And I know it means so much to him for me to be able to go and support his games. For him, it means a lot for me to go on the sideline before because he says that's his pre-game routine. So he's always looking for me on the sideline to give him, like, good luck vibes and wishes. That's just his superstition," Simone Biles said
The Bears only managed to win five games in the regular season and finished last in the NFC North standings before the couple took off for a small vacation in Switzerland.
