Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens didn't celebrate Christmas as usual due to the latter's busy schedule in the NFL, after which they took a brief vacation to Switzerland.

Owens represented the Chicago Bears in the NFL this season, who played against the likes of Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers. The Bears ended their season with a 4-12 record in the NFL.

Before 2024 came to an end, Simone Biles was named the 'Sportsperson of the Year' by the Sports Illustrated magazine. Jonathan Owens shared his reaction when Biles was awarded the same.

When Sports Illustrated announced its decision to award Biles with 'Sportsperson of the Year' award, Owens shared the news on his Instagram stories, and wrote:

"So proud of you baby"

Owens has been extremely supportive of Biles since the beginning. The NFL player even accompanied Biles' parents, Ron & Nellie to the Paris Olympics to cheer for her.

Biles enjoyed an excellent campaign at the Paris Olympics, contributing to another gold medal in the team all-around event, apart from winning two more individual gold medals and a silver medal in the floor exercise.

She is currently focusing on her 2025 season, including the World Championships, which will be held later this year. Though she hasn't confirmed it, Biles hasn't rejected the possibility of participating at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 either.
