Renowned artistic gymnast Simone Biles recently reacted to Zoe Miller donning the LSU Tigers colors ahead of the 2024-2025 season. Miller, who retired from elite gymnastics in April 2024, will be beginning her collegiate career as a freshman at Louisiana State University.
This year, Miller sustained a shoulder injury right before the Winter Cup. Despite all possible efforts including therapy and rest, the recovery took longer than expected. As a result, she completely shifted her focus to prepare for college, thus ending her elite gymnastics journey.
Although it’s not known whether she will come out of retirement after her collegiate career, Miller has already earned two Pan American Games gold medals and three Pan American Championships medals during her brief elite career.
Zoe Miller recently shared pictures from her latest photoshoot in LSU Tigers jersey on Instagram. She captioned the post:
“just the intro 🎬”
The most successful gymnast in the history of the World Championships, Simone Biles, reacted to this post as she hyped up Miller ahead of the 2024-2025 season, commenting:
“This is just the beginning QUEEN 👑”
Miller’s LSU gymnastics teammates Haleigh Bryant and Sierra Ballard, who will return for their fifth and final year after contributing to the university’s maiden NCAA Championships victory, also commented on the post.
Bryant, the 2024 NCAA all-around champion and the Honda Sport Award winner, added:
“my precious child”
Ballard wrote:
“action 🎬”
It is worth noting that Simone Biles and Zoe Miller have developed a strong bond while training together at the World Champions Center (WCC) and even shared the same room during the July 2023 camp.
Zoe Miller credits Simone Biles for helping her stay stress-free
Zoe Miller credited Simone Biles for creating a stress-free environment which is a prerequisite while doing gymnastics. She revealed that the vlogs and social media posts play a crucial role in enjoying the sport besides competing at the highest level. In an interview with International Gymnast Online in 2024, Miller said:
“Yes, it has definitely helped me not to be so stressed. When I was younger I would be super tunnel-visioned, and super focused and nervous.”
She then mentioned that it was Biles who encouraged her to do vlogs and posts, adding:
“Simone. And as you get older, you stop caring what people think. It’s like, “I’m going to do me.” Simone taught me not to care what people think. We hang out so much. I’m always at her house and we’re always having sleepovers, so it’s really nice to have someone like your sister on the floor competing with you. It makes everything 10 times easier.”
Notably, Biles and Miller have also appeared in multiple TikTok videos together where they were spotted having fun.
