Simone Biles recently lashed out at a fan for poking fun at gymnasts during the semifinal night of the NCAA Gymnastics 2024 season. The response came after a fan created a video portraying gymnasts unable to land smoothly while completing their bouts.
Biles began her 2024 at the National Team Cup and is in full preparation to qualify for the Paris Olympics as part of the United States Gymnastics team. Amidst all this college gymnasts in the US are fighting for a spot in the finals of the NCAA Championships.
An incident during the semifinals of the NCAA gymnastics championships angered Simone Biles, so she took to X to voice her opinion on the same. A fan made a video and posted it on X, making fun of the gymnasts, who were participating in the event indicating that they were unable to land smoothly while performing.
"NCAA gymnastics semifinals night session 2024 in a nutshell," read the caption of the video.
Biles took to X to reply to the video lashing out at the fan for not understanding the moment from a gymnast's perspective and eventually making fun of them in one of the most important moments of their careers.
"Yeah the most important day of our careers is a ke ke ha ha to you," she tweeted.
Simone Biles 2024 season
Simone Biles began her 2024 season on a slow note. After skipping the Winter Cup early in the season, there were a lot of speculations about her debut in the highly anticipated Olympic season this year.
Biles made her first appearance at the National Team Cup in April. The National Team Cup was a pivotal event in a gymnast's career as it was a gateway to international contests that were set to happen in April and May just before the coveted Olympic trials.
She will be participating in the U.S. Classic 2024 that will be held in Hartford, Connecticut on May 17 and 18 2024. The contest will witness a very competitive lineup with gymnasts like Gabby Douglas, Jade Carey, and Jordan Chiles fighting for the top spot.
Moreover, Biles is expected to participate in some more contests before turning her focus completely to the United States Olympic trials. However, she has yet to make a statement and confirm her participation in other events after the U.S. Classic in May.
