Simone Biles hilariously pointed out that 'vault' would not be happy to see her and Rebeca Andrade embrace at the VTEX Connect NYC 2025 as they are the most neck-to-neck competitors in the event. Biles and Andrade clinched first and second in the all-around competition at the Paris Olympics.

After a one-year hiatus, Biles returned to the competition in 2023, winning back-to-back titles at the Hydration Core Classic and US Championships. As a heavy favorite, she entered the World Championships arena only to face her most formidable competitor, Andrade. Despite surpassing her in the all-around competition, Biles fell short of points to win the vault title after a fall in her eponymous vault, giving away the gold to Andrade.

Biles and Andrade also met at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The former won gold in the vault, getting an edge over the Brazilian with her Yurchenko Double Pike maneuver. However, she clinched silver on the floor behind Andrade, marking the first loss in the event in her senior international career.

Months later, the rivals reunited at the VTEX Connect NYC 2025. In a video posted by Biles on Instagram, she embraced Andrade as she took the stage as a fellow speaker at the event.

Hilariously noting how their most contentious apparatus wouldn't like their reunion.

"I know vault hate to see us coming"

Despite ending her 10 consecutive win streak on the floor, Simone Biles and former bronze medalist Jordan Chiles bowed to gold winner Rebeca Andrade to mark 'sportsmanship'.

"[We were] showing good sportsmanship [and] having fun out there because it was the last competition," the seven-time Olympic gold medalist told People.

Biles ended her 2024 season with the Gold Over America tour, performing across 30 US cities with her fellow US Olympians.

Despite unfurling her dominance as a then-seven-time Olympic medalist, Simone Biles faced her biggest competitor, Rebeca Andrade, who kept her on her toes throughout. Narrowly finishing ahead of the latter in the all-around, Biles stressed when Andrade performed on the vault.

Speaking about it in her eponymous Netflix docuseries, the 30-time World medalist said:

""There's a little part of me where I'm like 'Oof!' Andrade's giving me a run for my money. It's stressing me out. And so I really think it'll come down to, like, 'Which vault are we gonna do?' because this one sets the tone of how close or how far I'm gonna be from Andrade." [Ep. 4, 23:20]

Biles recently touched down in Los Angeles to bid farewell to Hoda Kotb, who retired from NBC News' Today Show after serving from 2018 to 2025.
