American gymnast Simone Biles recently shared her opinion on whether she would prefer to be Santa Claus' elf or reindeer. This comes just a few days before Christmas Day (December 25).
The American gymnast was featured on a recent episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show" where she appeared in an all-black outfit. During the talk show, Biles was asked to pick between Santa's elf and reindeer.
In reply to this, Biles came up with a sarcastic answer, taking a slight dig at her own height. She said:
"I'm the perfect height for an elf. I can't lie."
Simone Biles is 4 feet and 8 inches tall and owing to this short height, the gymnast had earlier also opened up about facing difficulty in performing the uneven bars apparatus. Notably, this is also the only apparatus in which the Texas native hasn't clinched an Olympic medal in her career so far.
Just a few weeks before Christmas, Biles also featured in a Christmas decor competition for Dicks Sporting Goods where she had to decorate a local Dick's Sporting Goods store. During this competition, Biles represented the city of Houston. The campaign also featured numerous other sporting stars such as Dak Prescott and Chris Paul.
Simone Biles shared her emotions about the 2024 Paris Olympics
Simone Biles opened up about the raw emotions she faced during the 2024 Paris Olympics during the premiere of her documentary, "Simone Biles: Rising" that was released on Netflix in October.
During an interview with Olympics.com, Biles mentioned that she had a perfect attitude during the Olympics as she had several things to prove to herself during the competition. She said:
"I was focused so much on the Olympics that whenever I watched it back, that was kind of the release that I had. I think it’s just the emotions after the Olympics – you’re at such a high and you don’t really get to release until afterwards. I felt like I held a good attitude and everything. There was a lot on the line for me personally because I had a lot to prove to myself."
Biles' documentary premiere took place at The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood in Los Angeles and was attended by her parents and husband Jonathan Owens. Her sister, Adria, and longtime coach Cecile Lendi also graced this event.
