Simone Biles is the most decorated gymnast of all time, having won 30 World Championships and 11 Olympic medals. Recently, the American attended a Pilates session as she prepared for the upcoming season, and she was quick to express her feelings about the workout.
Biles' 2025 has been a hectic affair so far, as the gymnast has taken trips to New York, Georgia, and Switzerland with her husband Jonathan Owens. The couple's getaway to Switzerland included plenty of interesting activities, including a trip to the Audemars Piguet museum.
Now, after returning home from her vacation, Simone Biles is back to working out. On Sunday (January 26), the 27-year-old took to her Instagram story to share a photo of a pilates studio, writing,
“Here against my will.”
Biles has previously made her dislike for Pilates abundantly clear, having written on her Instagram story on December 5, 2024,
“First time working out since the Olympics.....this is what I wore to a pilates class that I will never be attending again! y'all stay strong out there lmao, it was too hard.”
Simone Biles admits to cheating during Pilates workout
Simone Biles is widely considered to be the greatest gymnast to have ever graced the sport. The American has five eponymous skills, and her triple-double on the floor and Yurchenko double pike on the vault are moves no other gymnast in the history of the sport has successfully competed.
However, despite her incredible athletic ability, the 27-year-old had admitted to struggling with pilates workouts. In an appearance on the Kelly Clarkson show, Biles revealed that it was the one workout she couldn't master, saying,
“I cannot do it (pilates) to save my life.”
The Olympic champion went on to reveal that she often cheats during her pilates classes, admitting,
“When the teacher wasn't looking, I was cheating.”
Despite returning to her pilates workout, Biles is yet to reveal her plans for returning to the gym for the upcoming 2025 season. The American led an incredible campaign in 2024, beginning with domestic competitions. She made her season debut at the US Core Hydration Classic, winning the all-around title with ease, before moving on to the US National Championships, where she claimed a clean sweep of the podiums. She then competed at the US Olympic Trials, registering yet another all-around victory.
Simone Biles wrapped up her season with an appearance at the Paris Olympics, where she won three gold medals, and one silver medal, to re-establish her status as the most decorated gymnast of all time.
