Simone Biles narrated a story of a fellow Chicago traveler's kind gesture when he took Biles and her husband to the Sapphire Club at the New York airport. Biles was returning to Chicago after attending the VTEX Connect NYC event alongside Rebeca Andrade, who finished second in the all-around at the Paris Olympics.
Biles, the three-time gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Games, toured around 30 US cities, performing with her fellow Olympians on the Gold Over America tour. After the stint, she enjoyed gymnastics downtime but became a regular at Jonathan Owens' NFL matches. The couple even celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve in Chicago during the NFL season.
After their Los Angeles trip, Biles shared a sweet airport story of a fellow Chicago traveler who took the couple to the Sapphire Club when they asked directions to the United Club in the airport.
"We asked where the United Club was & another Chicago traveler let us into the Sapphire Club with him. He didn't have to do that but it was so sweet and kind of him. I will admit I've never been to an airport club as nice as this and the hospitality was unmatched! A good experience to start our travels back home," Biles wrote on her Instagram story.
The 30-time World medalist and her husband then stepped out for dinner after which the latter hailed a taxi for the first time en route to the hotel.
Biles and Owens recently touched down in Los Angeles where the Olympian bid her goodbye to former Today Show Hoda Kotb on her retirement day.
Simone Biles showed off her new luxurious item she purchased in New York
Biles, the most decorated US gymnast with seven Olympic gold medals, added one of Hermès’ iconic handbags to her collection from New York. After attending the VTEX Connect event, she shared an Instagram story featuring her caramel brown Birkin and captioned it:
"Treated myself to a new lil bby while in New York. Jonathan came for emotional support, baby I was sweaaaating."
Simone Biles recently reacted to being mistaken for Bri from the sixth season of 'Too Hot to Handle', a dating show on Netflix. She took to her Threads handle to note:
"these guys just asked if I was from too hot too handle lmao GOODBYE"
One fan echoed the sentiment and wrote:
"No lie, you and Bri from the last season do favor each other. 😍 but also, that's insane lol"
Biles defended by saying:
"we look nothing alike…… same oval beautiful eyes! but the nose & mouth are totally opposite. Be so forreal hahahhaa! She’s cuuuuuute though! But we don’t look alike…?"
Biles received the Sportsperson of the Year honor from the iconic publication Sports Illustrated for her success in Paris.
