Simone Biles' vault finals leotard by Gk Elite was created to represent the 'City of Lights', Paris. Gk Elite not only drew inspiration from both the American and French culture but also used the custom-dyed stretched satin it hasn't used in gymnastics leotards before.

Biles has been a member of Gk Elite since 2015, and extended their partnership in 2021 when she kicked off her journey with the brand in its first-ever athlete-designed leotard collection. In a total three collections, Replica competitive leotards, Signature training leotards and Legacy customizable competitive leotards, she has been inspiring the next generation of gymnasts.

Simone Biles entered the Paris Olympics as the gold medal favorite in all the events she was scheduled to take part in. Her extraordinary prowess on the mat earned her the team and individual gold. She again stunned the crowd inside the Bercy Arena with her vault gold on August 3, 2024. Besides her manoeuvre, the red leotard, Patriotic Poise, she sported today also captured attention alike.

Out of the nine custom pieces specially designed for Paris, the red Patriotic Poise is the most intricate technically. Gk Elite has used a custom dyed-red satin for the upper half of the gymnastic wear, a material it hasn't ever used in gymnastics leotards. The lower half is made with a matte red material, which is designed to 'play off of that texture and light contrast', according to Gk design director Jeanne Diaz (via Harpers Bazaar).

The ode to the 'City of Lights' was worn by the seven-time Olympic gold medalist during the vault finals, the occasion which saw the vault medal streak of the US extend to four consecutive Games. Simone Biles earned 15.3 in the vault, outscoring the silver medalist, Brazil's Rebeca Andrade, by 0.300 points.

Simone Biles might get a new tattoo after Paris Olympics 2024

Biles has been on a winning streak since she stepped foot on the gymnastic mat in the quadrennial Games. She filmed a GRWM video before her individual all-around finals, dropping a hint that a new tattoo may be in foresight.

"I also haven't decided if I'm going to get a tattoo after this. I already have the Olympic rings, but maybe something as an ode to Paris. I'm not sure," she said (via TikTok).

Biles will next take the stage for the balance beam and floor exercise finals on August 5.
