Simone Biles has reacted after her Netflix documentary won big at the 2024 Critics Choice Documentary Awards. In the ninth annual Critics Choice Documentary Awards, 'Simone Biles: Rising' has bagged the ‘Best Sports Documentary’ award for its two parts released in 2024.

Notably, both parts, streaming on Netflix, delve into the life of the 23-time World Championships gold medalist. Part 1 focuses on her mental health struggles during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which led to her withdrawal from several events, and her recovery after experiencing ‘Twisties’.

Meanwhile, Part 2 highlights her remarkable comeback at the 2024 US Olympic Gymnastics Trials and her phenomenal performance at the Paris Olympics, where she concluded her campaign with three gold medals and a silver. With this, she also became the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast by overtaking Shannon Miller.

Recently, Simone Biles: Rising won Best Sports Documentary at the Critics' Choice Documentary Awards, as announced in an Instagram post. The 27-year-old responded to the honor, reacting with hearts:

Simone Biles spoke after clinching her sixth Olympic gold medal in the women’s all-around event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She prevailed over Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade and fellow American Suni Lee. Following the win, she reflected on her comeback journey following 'Twisties' at a press conference, stating:

“Three years ago I never thought I'd set foot on a gymnastics floor again because of everything that happened. But with the help of Cécile Canqueteau-Landi and Laurent Landi, I got back in the gym and worked really hard mentally and physically.”

However, she added that despite being considered one of the greatest gymnasts, she still sees herself as the girl from Texas who loves to flip, saying:

“At the end of the day, it is crazy that I am in the conversation of greatest of all athletes. I still just think that I'm Simone Biles from Spring, Texas, who loves to flip.”

With the conclusion of the Paris Olympics, her current Olympic medal tally stands at 11, including 7 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
