Simone Biles has done the first routine of her 2024 season finally. Her floor routine started with a popular Taylor Swift song, and fans couldn't stop gushing over the iconic crossover.
Biles is featuring for the first time after becoming the most decorated gymnast last year at the World Artistic Championships in Antwerp. The 27-year-old won her 6th all-around gold medal, a record most by any gymnast. The only crown she needs now is to become the decorated Olympic gymnast of all time, and her journey to achieve that has kicked off.
The Olympic champion shined during practice at the podium training of the U.S Classic 2024. Biles performed balance beam and floor routines, and while both of them were equally sensational, the latter had Taylor Swift's song ‘Ready for it?’ as music for the opening part.
Fans online were delighted to watch Simone Biles return to the mat in style. While some were impressed with the world champion's improvisation, others were gushing over the Taylor Swift addition to Biles’ floor routine.
"Simone + “Ready For It?” oh my goddd", a fan wrote.
"Ready for the swifties to have a meltdown when they hear those opening chords. who's going to be the first to wear a simone leo to an eras concert?" another fan expressed.
"This makes me regret quitting gymnastics" a user expressed.
Many fans were impressed with Biles' dance during the floor routine, as well as its choreography and the choreographer.
"I LOVE. Who is the choreographer for this?" a fan asked.
"SIMONE WITH THE TAYLOR SWIFT REPUTATION FLOOR MUSIC IN THE OLYMPIC YEAR. IT’S TAILOR-MADE FOR ME," a user wrote.

Simone Biles is featuring in her first meet of the year at the U.S. Classic 2024. While one would expect to see a slightly timid world champion, she looked all set to shine during the podium training on balance beam and floor.
Speaking with AP News earlier, Biles claimed that she was feeling confident in her abilities, and believed in the work she has put in during the last few years:
"I feel very confident with where I’m at mentally and physically, that (Tokyo) is not going to happen again just because we have put in the work."
But her competitors in the first meet of the year only will be fellow all-around Olympic champions, Gabby Douglas and Suni Lee. Both of them are making comebacks as well.
Douglas and Lee produced decent performances at the American classic last month. With Simone Biles in good touch, it should be an exciting battle in Hartford on Saturday, May 18.
