Simone Biles was previously silent about her presidential candidate choice, revealing it just a few hours before the final results came out. The eleven-time Olympic medalist voted alongside husband Jonathan Owens on November 5.
Biles cemented her legacy as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time at the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning a staggering three gold medals. She led the USA women's gymnastics team to the gold medal before taking home the all-around and vault titles.
The 27-year-old was poised for another gold medal on the floor exercise but a small error in execution saw her lose to long-time rival Rebeca Andrade for the first time. She settled for silver, ending her campaign in Paris with four medals. Biles' 11 Olympic medals are the second-most by any gymnast in history.
On election day, Biles expressed her support for Kamala Harris in the U.S. Presidential elections via a post on Threads.
"let’s go kamala mamala 🩵," the seven-time Olympic champion wrote.
However, the Democratic party candidate lost the election in a tight race to Donald Trump, who secured his second term in the White House. Earlier, Biles posted a picture of herself with her husband Jonathan Owens flexing their 'I voted' badges.

"I didn’t think it was going to explode" - Simone Biles opens up on her apparent 'Black job' swipe at Donald Trump

Following her all-around triumph at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Simone Biles posted on X (formerly Twitter) that she loved her 'Black job'.
"I love my black job," she wrote.
The post seemed in reference to Donald Trump's recent controversial comments where he stated that immigrants were taking 'Black jobs' in America. However, Biles clarified that she had no such intentions and thought it was funny.
"Well, I didn’t think it was going to explode the way that it did. I thought it was a joke and I thought it was funny, and I knew people would enjoy it. But obviously with the election coming up, that was not my intention. I was just having fun at the Olympics and everybody turns it into whatever they want to," she told the Los Angeles Times.
The 27-year-old was on a 32-stop Gold Over America Tour following the conclusion of the Paris Olympics. She is expected to get some rest before starting the preparations for the 2025 season.
